Belgian IPBES Day

The Belgian IPBES National Focal Point is pleased to invite you to our

obj 6086      Belgian IPBES Day on 19 March 2025 in BRUSSELS      obj 6085

Registration is open until Thursday 13/03 noon.

In December 2024, two landmark IPBES assessment reports were approved at the eleventh session of the IPBES Plenary in Windhoek, Namibia. These are the IPBES hashtagNexusAssessment and hashtagTransformativeChange assessment reports.

🔍hashtagThe Nexus assessment tackles the interlinkages of biodiversity, water, food, health and climate change, truly ambitious work to bridge single-issue siloes.
📚 The Transformative Change assessment focuses on the underlying causes of the biodiversity crisis, the determinants of change and shows pathways for a more just & sustainable world.

On 19 March, we will present these two new assessments and discuss with researchers, policymakers and practitioners what these assessments can mean in the Belgian context.

Join us for:
🔹 Presentations of the Nexus and Transformative Change Assessments by the assessment authors
🔹 Interactive discussions with researchers, policymakers, and practitioners and IPBES authors
🔹 Networking moments (Lunch and Reception)
