Have a look!

2022

Against the background of the Nature Restoration Law developed by the European Commission, this edition of the Biodiversity Market had a particular focus on nature restoration in Europe. In full collaboration with the European Commission, the programme included a high-level information session in the morning, with presentations on the topic of nature restoration from various actors

2019

The traditionnal BEES Christmas Market took place on 20 December 2019 and was co-organised with the IPBES Belgian Focal Point. The objective of the event, beside the networking, was to reflect on how to tailor IPBES solutions to the Belgian, regional and local scale, and establish action points to verify, downscale and detail IPBES findings.

Three workshops gathered input on following questions :

  • How will we better assess biodiversity and impacts on health and economy? [Q1]

  • How will we prioritize the causes or predict what will happen in the future? [Q2]

  • How will actions, policies and instruments (not) solve the crisis? [Q3]

2018

The BEES market is the single event gathering research and practice on the topic of 'ecosystems and society' on a Belgian scale. Research institutes and academic groups, administration projects and local initiatives on nature, forestry, agriculture, ecosystem services, environmental justice, green economy etc. meet in a personal and relaxed atmosphere, learning from each other and strengthening the community.
