Update of the Belgium National Biodiversity Strategy to 2030

Update of the Belgium National Biodiversity Strategy to 2030

The update of the National Biodiversity Strategy aims to align Belgium’s goals with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and the European Biodiversity Strategy 2030. It is a significant step towards enhancing our commitment to biodiversity conservation, restoration and sustainable use.

On the 24th of June, we will introduce the updated NBS and launch the public consultation phase. We warmly invite stakeholders from all sectors within the Belgian biodiversity landscape -policy makers, scientists, private sectors and more- to join us.

Throughout this summer until the 21st of September, you are encouraged to engage and provide feedback on the proposed update of the NBS.
