Welcome to the BiodivERsA Research Information System.

The BiodivERsA RIS compiles information on European, national and regional funding programmes and funding organisations supporting biodiversity research in order to provide:

1 - a webportal on current and past funding programs in Europe open to biodiversity researchers, including thematic and non-thematic programs, grants, fellowships and studentships. These funding sources can be open to individuals, research organisations or network of organisations.

2 - a tool for analysing current funding trends in the field of biodiversity and for defining future priority research areas for European funding agencies.

We strongly encourage additional funding organisations supporting biodiversity research (NGOs, Foundations...) to contact us and participate in this platform especially in European countries which are not currently represented in BiodivERsA.

Information in the database is available free of charge to anyone interested in biodiversity research funding in Europe, although some fields and records may remain confidential. Simple and advanced search facilities are provided and users are encouraged to send comments to database@eurobiodiversa.org
