Video : Climate and Biodiversity, Meeting with French experts of the IPCC and IPBES (in French)

On 6 November 2014, the Foundation for Research on Biodiversity (FRB) and the MEDDE, in partnership with the Oceanographic Institute, organized a meeting between scientific experts on issues around climate change and biodiversity. On this occasion we interviewed five experts participating in the work of the Intergovernmental Platform on Climate Change (IPCC) and those of the Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).

The first part of the video (in French) is devoted to the interactions between climate and biodiversity and presents three examples: The North Sea cod, pollinators and ocean acidification. The question of the adaptation of organisms to climate change is discussed. The second part of the video shows the intergovernmental platforms and how research is needed to help decision making in response to these changes.
